Pastor (emeritus) Irvin Stapf graduated from the University of Maryland in 1963 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

God called him into the ministry. He graduated from Gettysburg Seminary and then served as Pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Damascus, MD.

In February, 1976, he followed God's direction and Christ Lutheran Church was formed.

He retired March 3, 2019 and was awarded Pastor Emeritus status on the Clergy Roster of The AALC on May 15, 2019.

 

Carrie officially joined us as our part time secretary July 24, 2019.

Carrie grew up in our church.

She is married to Rodney and is the mother of three children; Eddie Burtt, Anthony, and Jenna.

Carrie graduated from Erskine College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Vicar Chris Clarke grew up in McLean, Virginia. He joined the Active Duty Army in 2004. He has served for 21 years and is currently stationed at Fort Meade.

Chris is married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica. They home-school their four children.

Chris also attends The American Lutheran Theological Seminary. He serves as Vicar at Christ Lutheran Church as part of his seminary curriculum.

Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, working on home improvement projects and CrossFit.

When Chris retires from the Army he hopes to remain in Maryland and serve our Lord at Christ Lutheran.
